“Designing a shelter to despair”, meeting of Mirella De Paris-journalist RSI Rete1- with Enrico Sassi.

The architect worked on the design of “anti-suicide” shelters at the Castel San Pietro bridge. On the sides of the sadly famous artifact above the Breggia river, today two rows of metal rods stand out, almost two and a half meters high, therefore difficult to climb as they have no holds. What did it mean for the architect to face a work that is not only architectural and landscape, but so markedly emotional and full of responsibility?
